Workshop and Demonstration Course Requirements

LANDSCAPE WATERCOLOUR

Please bring any watercolour materials that you may have although these are not essential. There may be a small charge for watercolour paper which will be payable directly to the tutor on the day.

KNITTED BRACELETS

2x sock needles (double ended knitting needles) size 10 or 11 or 2 short knitting needles. Beads and wire to be provided by the tutor at a cost of no more £2.50.
 

FEEDING THE CREATIVE SOUL

Requirements List
The following are items which are essential to have:
A3 or A4 sketch pad
Note pad
Painting and or drawing equipment (whatever you have)
Pencil (preferably HB)
Paint brush/brushes
Paper glue
Ruler
Rubber (preferably a putty rubber – available from art shops)
2 empty jars or containers for painting and a palate or saucer for mixing paint on
Paper scissors,
Old magazines with coloured pictures to be cut up

The following is a list of items that may be useful throughout the course. None of the items are obligatory, just rummage through what you have that may be of use
Fabric scissors,
Pens, Pencils, rubbers, coloured pencils, paints, crayons, felt pens, wax crayons,
Fabric/silk paints or dyes chalk, wax, inks,
Fabric which can be coloured or dyed such as calico, cotton, net, dishcloths, muslin, bandages, felt etc.,
Off cuts of coloured fabrics,
Hessian, pipe cleaners, cellophane sweet wrappers, fancy papers, tissue paper, crepe paper, corrugated paper,
Coloured threads, sequins, beads, wool, string, card,
Plus anything else you can find that you think might be useful no matter how silly it may seem!
Hopefully we can pool resources and share things around.

We are going to base our studies on the theme of shells. These will be available to work on in class, but you may want to bring a digital camera to photograph them to base your work on. If you have shells of your own, by all means bring them in as well.

Pam Jones Acrylic Painting for beginners

Requirements list:

 

All materials will be provided at an extra cost of £2 per head payable to the tutor plus there should be an option to purchase a small canvas from the tutor at an extra cost of £1-£2.Β  Paper is included in the £2.

Machine thread - metallic if you have any *
Small pudding basin (1lb size) *
Cling film*
Any or all of the following:-
Bits of sweet foil
Bits of thread or embroidery cotton (left over from other work)*
Skeleton leaves,* honesty seeds *or dried flower petals (real or silk)
Confetti
Old Christmas decorations - paper or thin plastic
Bits of brightly coloured material (small scraps)
& anything else you fancy
all things marked with * I will have some extra with me for you to use
